Tribunal Representation

Tribunals in Ontario serve as specialized, quasi-judicial bodies that resolve disputes in specific areas of law, often outside the traditional court system.

They are designed to provide accessible, efficient, and expertise-driven adjudication in matters such as landlord-tenant disputes, human rights violations, workplace injuries, and social benefits claims. Unlike courts, tribunals generally have more informal procedures, making them less intimidating for individuals representing themselves or using non-lawyer professionals, like paralegals.

Despite their informality, tribunals still follow structured processes and legal principles to ensure fair and impartial decision-making.

They are often governed by specific statutes and regulations, and the decisions made by tribunals can be appealed to higher courts or specialized appeal boards.

Overall, the responsibility of tribunals is to provide an efficient and accessible forum for resolving disputes while ensuring fairness and transparency in the application of the law.
